We had a lovely evening for round 9. We tried a couple of new things that worked well with the starting inlap and then the last downhill towards the finish line. The youths got off first. In the girls Ava Baker and Ciara O Connor had a great battle with Ava coming 1st and Ciara 2nd. Emma Delaney followed in 3rd. It was tight in the boys also with Nathan Baker leading the charge in first and with Logan McAreevy in 2nd and Jaxon Jennings in 3rd.
The 19:15 race saw a short in lap missing the switchbacks. It left it fast and safe and from observation and feedback, it gave everyone an opportunity to pass. It also allows riders to get to the pits earlier in case they have a mishap. We will try it out on December 3rd.
David O Neill was on a good night in 1st and Declan McEntee was closing all the time in 2nd and Rian McCrystal 3rd. Rhiannon Dolan won well in the girls with Ffionn Dolan 2nd and Holly McCaffrey in 3rd.
It was a lovely mild evening that made for great racing. Well done all!
