NCO RD9

It was a great evening for Round 9, a vast contrast to what yesterday brought.

I changed things up and decided to do the course in reverse. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a while and by all reports it could be here to stay.

Youths

The start line tonight was behind the finish line facing the opposite way. The youths had a testing course incorporating the switchbacks after they climbed the hill.  My next task will be to get the youths to use the steps next week with the new layout. There was no catching Lewis Bell tonight, he was in flying form. Coming from his win in Thurles on Sunday Tadhg Connolly finished 2nd with Nathan Baker in an excellent 3rd. Well done to all the Youths

U14-Adults

As usual, we have a combined race in the 19:15 race where your age is irrelevant! It’s all about positioning and giving your best effort for  30-35 mins. Javan Nulty was the clear winner again. He was motoring and you can see he’s riding a different gear of late. Declan McEntee wasn’t too far behind in 2nd with Oliver O Shaughnessy taking 3rd

Holly McCaffrey was our winner in the female race, She got stronger as the race went on. Ava Baker was very consistent again in 2nd with Eire McCrystal riding well on the last lap to take 3rd.

Well done to all.

See you next week
