We had a mild night for round 4 of the Niall Clarke Oils League.

You can find the results here

First, we had the kids race at 18:45 and you can see the improvement every week from the kids. All Boys again. We’d love to have some girls down. Jaxon Jennings was our winner again. He had work to do as Leo Gallagher led the charge. Unfortunately, Leo suffered a mechanical and had to retire leaving Jaxon out front.  Another casualty was Lewis Bell who suffered a puncture. But it wasn’t easy for Jaxon because Tadhg Connolly was getting stronger as the race went on.  Jaxon held on with Tadgh 2nd and ever-consistent Logan McAreavy was 3rd.

He was last to arrive but first through the finish line from the in-lap start, but early on Ray O Shaughnessy suffered a couple of mishaps to be out of contention for the race. Quickly 4 riders formed, Javan Nulty, Lee Clarke, Rian McCrystal, and Aureliusz Klus. No quarter was given as the corners were being negotiated. Rian got away after the steps on the final descent to the line and edged out Lee Clarke. Javan Nulty finished 3rd with Aureliusz dropping off the pace in the latter laps.

Fiona Guihen was the clear winner in the lady’s race with ever-impressive Ava Baker coming 2nd. Ava is first-year U14 and has taken really well to the longer tougher races. Grace O Rourke had a good race also in 3rd.

More newcomers tried out the course tonight!! well done all
