We had a lovely summer evening at the track this evening for round 5. It was warm but the effort was worth it when the magnum ice creams were produced for all the finishers ( and supporters!)

Well done to all the youth riders. In the boy’s race Leo Gallagher was 1st with Jaxon Jennings and Logan McAreavy having a good battle for 2nd and 3rd, Jaxon won that battle coming first and Logan 3rd. Aoife campbell was 1st in the girls with Aoife Killeen 2nd and Rionach Campbell 3rd.
We started the 19:15 with a few words and a minutes silence for Sarah Fagan, who recently passed away. We finished with a message to all the riders to keep smiling no matter how hard it was because anyone who saw Sarah racing will remember her smiling. Sarah tried out CX with us last year and really enjoyment. RIP Sarah.
The race was as fast as ever. Tadgh Killeen wasn’t hanging about riding away on his own away from his brother Fionn. That was 1 and 2 with Pj Hynes having a very good race in 3rd. In the Girl’s race Emer Heverin was first with Aisha Gannon and Ava Baker 2nd and 3rd.
We had more newcomers tonight riding their first cross race.
